the heavy duty suspension option does not come with the "S" package.......it comes with the optional 17" wheel & tire package.....the 2 are mutually exclusive of each other I believe.

the heavy duty suspension option that comes with the 17" wheel and tire package has the same shocks (just not painted red) as the Rubicon.

I was told this by a fairly reliable source....hope it helps.

 

I have the 17" wheel package on my X and I can say I have the Rubicon suspension. They are just not red.

You can even tell just by the way it sits that it's the Rubi suspension while sitting next to a standard X. I have a lot more "lift" on mine.

Ah, cool. I knew I was not crazy. Well about that anyway. I have both the s package and the 17" wheel option. So I got the Rubi suspension not from the S package, but the 17" package. Thank you for clarifying that.

 

I was always under the impression that the Rubi came with Monotube shocks.. But then again, I dont even know where I heard that from....
