Default Run 37" tire with Front D30 ?! possible ?!

I know it's not the best solution to run 37 with D30 , but is it concevable to run 37 with a front D30 with somes specifics mods ??

If I go this way ,I know I should upgrade to chromoly shaft, and what else I should upgrade to be enable to do trail/rock occasionally(daily driver), I don't used to do extrem rock crawling.

Please let me know which part I sould also upgrade in my situation.
For your information, before to tun 37 (now running 35), I would regear to 4.88 or 4.56, is 4.56 to fast for 37 ? ...and 4.88 to slow for 35 ?! I have a manual unl. 2011 still with 3.73 for moment !

throwem on and call it a day.. people have done worse... id go at least 4.88 if not 5.13. ring gear will be weaker but other than that its basically a d44. even with slight off roading id at least be prepared for a break possbily. that being said its still up for debates if id even be comfortable running 37s on my d44... im still testing that until my tires wear down more.

If I were you I would be 100% prepared to break on any 4x4 outing!! Bring warm enough gear to spend the night on the trail. If you were to tell me it never sees off road,, I'd say go for it; but for off road,, I wouldn't risk a major break do to a ridiculously weak driveline. Just my 2 cents,, sorry,, but good luck.

That was comment I was looking for, to really convince me that it's not really possible... of course I would go on trail, so I'll take away this idea to keep my D30 at front and upgrade to a D44, like you said, I don't want to break for a lot of $$ cause by weak drive line.

YA OK. 3 YRS so far on 38.5 pitbulls no problems yet. people talk b/s and have no real world experience.
they just hear people say I wont do it. people that break and bend them are jumping rocks or hitting to hard trying to climb. take it slow and you will be fine. do c gussets and do truss or sleeves

rausch creek pa has not damaged my d30 yet. if it does then ill upgradeClick image for larger version

My experience isnt exactly "No real world experience" ,, I will be up front and say my experience is slightly different. I have personally broke 2 sets of ring and pinion while driving on city streets. The reason it is different is because it was in a toyota with 38.5 super swampers and 5.29 gears. BUT,,,, the fact is they broke,, and I will never run a weak driveline again!! I'm glad yours is working for you and hope you never have a problem,, but there are many people on this forum who have shared their photos of weak equipment breaking. Its not BS and its not a lack of experience,, it just happens.

I'm running 37's on my D30 without any hitches so far. I don't do any hard wheeling, but trails and a little bump stuff. The occasional crawl. I just try to take it easy. I'm not going to be bouncing my shit on boulders like you see these guys doing with their D60 equipped rigs.

very true, depends on the wheeling you do and how you drive it. ive seen d30 ring gears blow, and also d60 ring gears blow...2 d 60s this last month alone.

Running 37" mtr/k on d30. D30 has RCVs, evo sleeves, 4.88 and ARB. Not saying that it won't blow up, but hasn't yet. Not doing KOH runs, but do wheel moderate
Add a couple more "poser" shots for ya

also matters on the d30 being locked or not. we have one guy running a d30 and he blew 3 different spyder gears in the last month or 2 alone with his being open. He is on 35s and wheels pretty easily on it out here...
