When I took my Jeep in for my alignment after getting my 3.5" lift on, the alignment specialist told me he could not change the toe because it is a straight axle and I needed different ball joints? Everything I have read about changing the toe said to do it after install like it was no big deal... Did I take it to a bad shop or do I really need to buy another part to be able to set the toe in?

I agree, this sounds like a tire/wheel problem. If you can feel it at all speeds, 0 mph and up, it's probably a wheel issue. Pull the wheels back off and check to see if something is keeping one of them from sitting flush on the axle. Reinstall and then spin them and watch for "trueness" (I think that's a word). If you are feeling it at say 15 mph and up, it could be the balance. Maybe you knocked a wheel weight off or something along those lines. Alignment typically won't cause vibration, at least not until a bad alignment has worn the tires in an irregular pattern.

I didnt change wheels and tires.
I followed the instructions which said to do it in the air not on the ground.
After feeling the shaking for 2 days, I took everything off and redid it to make sure nothing was messed up.
I'm going to get it aligned in a few days.
Itisa constant shake that gets very bad when I hit bumps. I have only gotten death wobble once.

As others have said, you need to torque everything while the Jeep is on the ground and supporting its own weight. I'd jump up and down on your bumpers and rock the Jeep side to side first too. If you torque in the air, you are creating unnecessary bind or preload on your bushings.

I guess I'll go jack it up and loosen everything then lower it and redo the torqueing(sp?). Could not torqueing it enough be the problem?

Also make sure you when you torque it, it's on level ground.

I jacked it up and checked the tires, they are on there very firmly, no spacing or blockage. I'm going back to my friends house who has the torque wrench and I'll jack it up and loosen the bolts and redo it on the ground. I'll keep yall updated. Thanks everyone
