Shocks too stiff!
I own a '14 Jeep Willys edition, 2 door, with a Rough Country 3.5" lift kit with 35" tires on Fuel 17" aluminum wheels and I don't use this vehicle for any severe use such as rock crawling or heavy trail use. I primarily am on either paved roads (to get to the trail stuff) or old logging roads up here in Northern Maine. While driving on paved roads I find the ride to be VERY stiff. I have the Rough Country shocks which came with the kit. Can anyone recommend a better riding shock? Perhaps an adjustable shock? I really don't want to break the bank on this if possible. Thanks for your advice!
What psi, and what is the load rate on the tires.
Rancho runs a lot of promotions, ( 4 for the price of 3, or gift cards of various amounts), so be sure and check for the mail-in rebates. Last I heard they also had a try-for-90-days and if you don't like them, return them, on the 9000's. You might also read through a few of the threads on these shocks for some feedback on the adjustment knobs.

RC shocks run on the soft side. I would check your tires first to see what you are running and at what psi. A "C' rated tire is plenty for a jeep and will offer a better ride then The heavy duty "E" rated tires many jeepers make the mistake of installing. Northern Main, you may also want to find shocks that run thinner oil to compensate for the cold. RK says you should expect their shocks to run rough if the temp is below 50 and you should change to a thinner oil.
Could very well be the spring rate too. Most aftermarket springs are "tuned" for heavy rigs (armor, steel bumpers, winch, etc.), so if you have a stocker, they:1) will net more than expected lift, 2) wont really want to compress under normal driving conditions... Donīt know about RC, but Eibach have near stock spring rate.
