So you feel okay killing people with a solid steel bumper probably lifted higher than stock making it more unsafe as long as it doesn't have a bar on it. Interesting.

So ur telling me that u can walk away free with the fact u killed someone with a overweight lifted Jeep with brakes not designed for the mods u have but if it happened with a stinger ur gonna be held responsible. Some of the threads on this site remind me of fox news.... y'all only point out the stuff y'all wanna focus on. I'm not posting this to bash on anyone I'm just wanting y'all to realize that by a majority of state laws that just about everything we do makes our rides illegal so if ur gonna mod it mod it how u want and lets just keep safe as best we can

Funny, i thought this thread was about opinions over running a stinger, noy my morality...
In my opinion i feel that a more traditional style bumper would be safer than a stinger since it doesnt protude as much and is not as high up.

Run what you like

Who said anything about not feeling bad??? I'm saying that between a blunt object and a pointed protruding object the chances of causing a death are on the higher side for the stinger. And if you were to kill someone I'm sure it would be brought up much faster than a flat stubby or full width bumper. The thread is about running a stinger and it's implications, I was merely pointing out a fact that most people overlook when purchasing one... Anything can happen on any given day so to each his own run your rig how you like and drive safely is about all any of us can do in the end.

In a large city the stinger might actually be a saftey device to help keep a walker crossing the street safe. The walker needs to stay out in front on you more, increasing your visability of that person so you are less likely to drive into that person. Busses have a bar on the front bumper for this very reason.

And lets not forget that the kids love to swing on the jeep,s monkey bar!

I run a stinger, and I can't help but feel I'm more prepared for the coming of zombies. I am legend with a stinger.

Hope this helped.

Agreed. I just got my permit, so the stinger will be on order soon.

I guess I just read ur post wrong then. The way I felt was that ur against stingers for the so called safety factor so I just wanted it clear that all our mods have that factor. Its too hard to have discussions online lol. I much rather do it in the garage with a cold one being passed for a silent apology
