How old is it? A new AC Delco professional end (pretty much the OEM at a lower price) is only about $20 and if you think you can unscrew it out of the adjusting sleeve it would be a lot easier than trying to re-thread. If you are only running the OEM, I'd look at that first. Someone with some more experience in re-threading may be able to comment more about if that's fixable. I would say if you match the thread pitch and count you would know if its re-usable or not but if it were mine I would want the new end if possible.

In my opinion it's way better to go get a new one because threading this will require you to remove the threads and make the hole thing smaller in diameter then thread it again and buying a nut to work with it but in reality it's risky cause you have now a smaller bolt " and sanding it down and removing the threads will take forever cause you're not going to disassemble the joint and remove the threads on a lathe the best thing to do is get a new tierod

It’s a ‘13 Jeep...pretty sure it the original. Also I believe on the passenger side it is pressed in so there’s not a way to unthread it.

don't care if it's a 2021 Jeep. TRE's are consumables. Replace that thing.

It's better to replace the hole thing but you can still buy only the outer tierod end alone

I don't know why nobody has mentioned it yet, but you should just go ahead and replace that.
