OP... as the most qualified person here to answer your question (I'm 5'4").

If not wheeling, then the smittybilt SRC or their duplicates in the quote above from ebay are the best cost effective sliders. I think they look pretty awesome as well.... but....

They suck if you are going to play on rocks. They only have two support legs, so they would get pushed in in the middle on impacts. Note, this only happened if banging your jeep around like I did.

As steps though, they are awesome... lots of platform to stand on.

I strongly disagree with the above post I just got back from moab and I set my jkur on theses rails numerous times only scratches in the powder coat easily fixed with rustoleum bed liner the same rocks dented and trashed my factory fuel tank skid no dents at all in my rock rails also the 2 door model has only 2 mounts the jkus have 3 mounts

I was fooled just like you, but it will happen. Mine gone pushed in so far that they started rattling against the lower body panel. Couldn't figure it out at first because the sound traveled up the b-pillar and completely fooled me as to where the sound was coming from.

To be fair, I wheel pretty hard, and here in Idaho we have canyons and trails that are basically boulder fields, and the SRC style hung to low and just didn't give enough clearance.

I ended up selling them and replacing them with LOD sliders that I had welded on. Much more sturdy.

Old way

But... for the OP, I think the SRC / e-grills style is the way to go.

The Black Jeep and I are wheeling buddies and he has the JKUR with the eBay rails and I have the JKR with the Smittybilt rails. There are a couple of small differences but essentially they are the same. We both wheeled pretty hard in Moab about a month ago and the only damage I received from setting down on them pretty hard and sliding on them was a couple of scratches and shallow flat spots that as he said could be easily "repaired or hidden" with bed liner. All in all I think they both are pretty good. It just depends on how much you use them, how you use them and potentially where you use them to help determine what you get, IMHO. The guy from Idaho apparently uses his differently than we do.

Thanks!! I won't use them that hard I'm sure of it. If you guys got them through Moab I'll be fine here with them. Thanks again for your input and Semper Fi
