i talk to one of the guys at sema who had it installed on his jk and was told that nothing bolted right up. he said that the holes didn't line up and that he had to ream several of them out to make it work. just thought you should know.

having said that, is there a reason why you feel the need for skidplates? honestly, i've been wheeling the crap out of my jk and with the exception of a small rancho skid protecting my oil pan (factory had no protection there), the factory skids are more than adequate.

so will picking good lines.
seriously though, the factory skids aren't so bad that they're gonna get you hung up on everything and if anything, all that extra mass is more likely to get caught up on the point of a rock than if you had voids in between things. i mean, is getting hung up on your skids really a problem you have been experiencing or just something you've been told is a problem if you don't have a big ass piece of steel strapped to the bottom of your jeep? please know that i'm just trying to save you some money so that you can spend it on things you really need.

but had 4x4's all my life old Broncos, toyota, dodge, range rover, and fords to name a few. but after i went wheeling with you guys rocktoberfest i am
amazed where these jeeps will go.

so now seem to think i need every product available. my wife already calls me a product whore.

Not to mention all that extra WEIGHT. "Pretty pricey but its sick looking" Skid plates for looks? You gotta be kiddin me. The only additions I can think would be good would be for the oil pan as Eddie said and the evap canister if you don't relocate it.

LOL!! trust me, we have sponsors here that do raise an eyebrow everytime i try to discourage someone from buy a product but honestly, i think you will find that i'm right on this one. with the exception of protection for your oil pan, aftermarket skids really aren't necessary and no, you're wife didn't contact me to tell you as much

at roktoberfest, i remember your jeep was nicely built and breezed through everything and that ain't an easy trail. at this point and time, get what you need when you need it - at least, that's the way i like to things.

BTW, are you heading down to corral canyon this weekend?
