Did you have an aftermarket intake when you hydrolocked the first time? I've been through a lot off 1 ft deep puddles way too fast without a problem

AEV's are $3xx.xx and I think the RR is near 800 or 900 depending on the coating. Regardless the cost of a snorkel is far less then a new vehicle or an engine, which i'm sure you went through already. You can lock up a motor in 4" of water if it gets into the intake somehow.

Just know you will be cutting your jeep with any snorkel unless you get the aev with their hood

I just live to keep it simple. If I wanna go in water, I take my boat.

Completely wrong information. River Raider is $499 -$649 depending on finish.(cutting required in the fender)
AEV is the cheapest out there, if you get just the snorkle.(you have to cut your hood or buy theirs)

It is a small price to pay, so you dont have to worry.

Do you get any cold air type benefit from a snorkel since you are getting all your air from outside the engine compartment? I never messed with a snorkel but I like the look even if I don't get into deep water I ride a lot of dirt roads with dust so that may help.
