Anybody know if anyone has ever cracked one of these wheeling? The reason I went with River Raider was that before I got the snorkel I met a small tree at slightly increase rate of speed and the leading edge of hood took most of the shot. So I wondered...if that aev snorkel sits that far out it is almost the leading edge of the hood and might it not fare as well in a tree meeting? The River Raider and Safari both sit behind the fender flare and the RR is substantially more stout. Just my thoughts...

I destroyed a safari snorkel on a trail once. It crumbled to its death. Less body on them comin out of the hood is a much needed improvement havent had or seen any casualties yet from them

I have the RR limb risers, I'm pretty sure they will run to the inside of the snorkel, not the outside. Won't help much, the riser would have to be attached to fender to protect it.

You have the expedition style or safari style? The RR riser runs from the hood latch to the upper windshield corner where the door opening is. The safari snorkel will be entirely outside of its coverage. any branches that get lifted up by the wires will get lifted directly into the intake. I like my limb risers, I think they work very well for keeping my hood clear, but I don't think they would work at all for protecting the snorkel, if anything they may cause damage to it
