been tied since Oct 08' ...only replaced one so far and no bounce!

I removed the hood spring, didn't work. I got the 09 hinges, didn't work. I finally bought the Daystar latches, works like a dream. Don't waste your money on the dealer stuff, just buy the aftermarket ones.

Removing the hood spring worked for me.
Highway tested to over 80 MPH, with 18-wheeler traffic turbulence ahead and oncoming.

Does anyone know if the J8 Sarge latches would fit and are available as parts?

Heck, couldn't we fabricate this from the stock ones?

I tried the daystar latches and the were so tight that they pulled my hood off center. I took them back off and am just living with the bounce till some better latches come out.

I never had a problem with it but I got the Woods latch kit and it works perfect. It adds a bar accross where the actual hood J latch rests at full closure and wont let it move up. which also puts less stress on the factory exterior latches and it makes it a little theft proof (even the guys at the dealer were trying to figure out how to open the hood)
