Spidertrax intallation.. Need some help.
Im very curious if mine are coming in contact with my spacers. I checked them after 1000 miles and they are still torqued down and they look perfectly flush with the hub. Ill pull the spacers and remove the clips just to be on the safe side.
To make the front rotors not spin while you torque the bolts, you can either use the 2x4 on the brake pedal trick or just stick a screw driver in the top of the rotor. The screwdriver will hit the caliper and not let it spin.
I seem to forget about these write ups. The only thing different from this and the instructions is the torque.. Instructions say 80-90, here it says 95 ft. lbs.
Hope this helps someone searching for info.
If you do not remove the clips. There is a chance that you will not be able to get the spacer to fit flat against the hub. If this happens, the wheel and tire will have a slight wobble when rotating. This may not be visible to the eye. But will be reflected in tread wear.
Checked Torque and everything was great, except I found a nail in one of my tires, luckily it does not appear to be leaking and I can get it fixed!
I'm really glad I double checked the shops work.. It's obvious I asked them to do way more than they could handle.. I mean come on guys the instructions were in the box.
Thanks for the help all. This site is great and I learn more and more each day!
