Default Spring Upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my springs on my 2012 wrangler. The old man emu 90lb front springs and 660 rear springs have been recommended to me. I drive no less that 64 miles a day often much farther. I pull trailers, boats and offroad frequently but its also the vehicle I pick my kids up from school in and go to practice. As you can see from the picture I have front bumper, winch, rear bumper, tire carrier, and spare 35. Does anyone have any experience with the old man emu springs or heavy load springs.

You're really asking the same thing you asked last week in this thread -

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...prings-346104/

On something like this, people have chimed in over the last 11 years with their experiences. I find certain forum searches to be pretty cubmersome, so prefer to use Google searches putting my preferred forum in the search itself, like "jk-forum old man emu", which will net some decent results like this thread in which many quality members have chimed in -

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...-lifts-326468/

and here are a lot more hits from Google on this specific forum:

https://www.google.com/search?q=jk-f...w=1176&bih=412

Not trying to be jerky....just that finding members running OME lifts that are actively involved here or on any forum is probably harder than with some other more popular lifts......just cuz what you're looking for is tailored a bit more to more of a niche group.

You are correct I am still trying to get information on heavy load springs. A lot of the responses from the last post asked for pictures of the Jeep, but got no responses after I added a picture. Thanks for the search info I'll look into that, any help is greatly appreciated. Can you explain what you mean by OME lifts? The lift on the mine is not manufactured by mopar that I know of. Also, what do you mean a niche group?

I have now realized OME is old man emu and what I was thinking about is OEM original equipment manufacturer.

Sorry, "OME" just meaning "Old Man Emu". I say niche group mainly cuz people looking at what you're looking at are heavy overlanders....people that really load their jeeps down with considerable weight. Most people on the boards aren't as concerned about the weight aspects like you are, which does make it a little harder to find info like what you're looking for as there aren't as many people running them as say Synergy, Rock Krawler, Metalcloak, Teraflex, Rough Country, Rubicon Express, Pro Comp....you name it. It's not that they are bad, they just don't fit necessarily what most on here are looking for for their applications. That may be why the responses have been sparse. But, over the life of the JK, there have been several that have tried these.

Have you considered if maybe a nice adjustable shock might be another way to address your need? Something you could stiffen up with the turn of a dial when towing, but then soften up again for just daily driving?

I am running OME 2616/2617 on a 2 door jk (that's heavy front, medium rear for 2DOOR JK's). No problems on mine but you should expect to add to the kit depending on which one you buy (trackbars, LCA's, bumpstops, etc). While not all of these are necessary I feel that each component improved my ride quality considerably. Good luck in your search and as other's have noted there are many threads on questions similar to yours; they are just a bit buried. Good luck!
