Its funny you ask that. That thought crossed my mind. Certain roads cause shimmy and shake, some do not. It appears the smoother the blacktop the worse the shimmy is. I have no explanation for it either.

That really does sound like a balance issue. The less pressure inside the easier it is for the tire to flop around on the wheel due to weight off balance.

I didn't realize the MTR-K's were that bad, makes me re consider my thoughts of getting them in the near future.

Did the Tires on the Jeep sit for awhile without being driven? If so you may have a soft spot inside the tire causing the unstable steering.
