Default Steering Wheel shaking When Bumping On the Right side! Help!

My 2dr JK is equipped with a set of 37" MTR and the Teraflex 4" short arms kit, but recently, I found the steering wheel shakes when the right side tires got bumped. What caused this issue? Thanks!

I presume this happens in the speeds of around 30mph?? And feels like a mini DW of sorts?

Speed is around 30mph and faster, but I still can control the steering wheel, the only problem is the steering wheel will begin to shake for a second or two, and then it will settle down. I tried to make a bump on the left tires, but the steering wheel just didn't shake as much as the right side tires did. Does it has anything to do with drop pitman's arm? In fact, I just replaced the factory one to an after market drop pitman's arm.

Yep, that's precisely what myself and PainKiller have been experiencing - it does it more when the passenger side goes over bumps, but not near as much if it's the driver side going over the same bumps. And I don't think it has to do with the drop pitman arm because I've had that for almost going on 2 years and my problem only started recently when I added T/F Rear UCAs. I have a theory of what "might" be causing it, but it's currently unsubstantiated. But the common factor we've noticed is that our rear coils are bowing quite bad - mine to the tune of it rubbing on the rear trackbar jam nut. Take a look at your rear coils and see if it looks like it's bowed quite a bit?

Thanks for the replies! My rear coil springs are bowed a little ,but not much. As the matter of fact, I felt the front right side tire caused this issue, however, my Jeep is a Sahara, so the front axle is DN30. With the 37" tires on DN30, does this caused the shaking issue? I am going to reinforce my front axle anyway.

You're welcome. Mine is an 07 Sahara Unlimited, so with a D30 also, but running 35s. So, I don't think the 37s are to blame. Initially, my first impressions was tire imbalance causing it, but I've had the tires balanced twice and it still exists. My theory is that the bow of the rear coils might be the culprit but I won't know for sure till I get my rear perch cut and the new Teraflex perch welded on.

On a side note, if you're running 37s on the D30, you definitely want to sleeve and gusset the axle as soon as possible.

Do you have a trackbar relocation bracket to go with the drop pitman?

Yes, I will get my front axle reinforced as soon as possible; after the DN30 axle is reinforced with gusset and sleeve, how is the toughness like comparing to DN44?

In my case, I used to have one, but no longer do since I have the JKS Trackbar brace that moves my axle side trackbar mount up.

Toughness with respect to holding the 37s would be fine. Of course, it won't be comparable to the D44 because you'll still be limited to gearing no more than 5.13s on a D30 and even with that, the R&P will be small.

Yes, I have an adjustable front track bar and a track bar relocation bracket on the rear.
