If your PCM had learned to put some extra advance in prior to the installation of the Flashpaq, it will likely take a little bit of time to retard some of the advance with the knock sensors. My guess is it should be fairly quick and certainly within a tankful of gas.

If you think the Flashpaq takes a long time to program you should try some of the competitive products that are 5x as long while programming less. I used to become overwhelmed with anxiety with my former programmer when I would start the process and realize that I was pinned in the driver seat as opposed to reaching through the window and would be trapped for the next half hour.

I somewhat agree with the crawl tune comments as I have oft wanted a full time idle up feature and had some difficulties with how much I needed to move the throttle to keep rolling. If I would have done my gears it probably wouldn't be an issue, but that's not going to happen until the spring.

We drove it on rolling hills 120 miles of 75-85mph and still heard pinging afterwards.

I'm used to my ranger superchips tuner which took about a minute and a half to program and change settings.

The factory "crawl" tune works just fine with my current gears/tires, the s/c tune needs to bump up the idle a couple hundred rpm so i can work my clutch like a rubi should.

Major con was the guys at the event didn't give a damn about what i had to say about their tuner. Blew me right off, and it didn't seem to matter that I didn't feel like dropping the $330 on it at the event. Guess it doesn't really matter how it works in the real world?

Will i buy one? Yes. However I'm not chomping at the bit to drop the money on it right this second..
Considering we (Superchips) are out of Sanford, Florida I would hope it is evident that we "give a damn" about our product and more importantly our customers and prospective customers since we came out there for this event. We came out there to see what people thought about the "real world" usage. I gave out my cell number so guys on the forum could contact me and swing by for us to demo the product.

Mike's feedback was important to us and it was taken down when he knocked on our RV and returned the product. Our intentions at the event were to get the product in people's hands and let them give it a go at the event. Our goal was not to sell sell sell. This was a brand building exercise. Mike, I apologize if you for any reason felt we did not care - we did and we do. Your feedback is very important to us and will be discussed further. I appreciate you coming over to let us tune your Jeep. We don’t get that kind of real-time feedback unless we are at events like this. We enjoyed getting a chance to let you try it and see what you think. Lots of people came by and talked with us about their experience and we got great feedback (including Mike's) from the event.

Lots of guys returned the product after they used it and said they enjoyed it. We are well aware that many dealers sell the programmers for less than we were at the event - and we encourage people to buy from our dealers as we, the factory, do not want to compete with them on pricing.

I can tell you that we do make an effort to listen to our customers - if we don’t then we can't move in a direction that meets expectations. If anyone has any comments, questions, or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I want to thank Mike and everyone else that came by to see us whether you did a demo run with product or not. It was nice meeting with the people out there.

Also, if anyone has a Flashpaq programmer - PM me your serial number and shipping address and I'll get out a cap, decal, and koozie.

Thanks.

Well, I thought there service was good. Superchips gave away lots of stuff at the event. I have an auto, and drove back to Vegas Friday night with the Superchips on 87 octane, Made a big differance. I loved it, I did not try the crawl mode off road. Saturday was wifes B-day, I guess she did not think the Superchips would be a good gift for me, on her birthday. Some times I just do not understand her.
I hope to get a Superchips for Christmas.

Also Superchips gave away lots of stuff, in the raffle, Thank you guys. Hope to see you guys next year.

I have tried all of the tunes except the Crawl tune for at least 2 tanks of gas and I have not perceived any knock, but that may just be because my timing is so retarded or is it my PCM that is retarded

Regarding how long it takes to load a program, I have to agree, but I also understand why its happening. The redeeming factor is that the Flashpaq provides very regular and simple (not cryptic) updates about what it is doing.
Other programmers of the past just went silent for minutes, without one knowing if they were doing their thing or just lost in oblivion.

To partially get around this problem I use my Procal to adjust the TPMS,which constantly seems out of wack.
