I know of one member that purchased the Flashpaq for the 2010 and when they plugged it in it said "Not Supported"

Have you asked Superchips?

There are obviously incentives to do it. They probably just have to get around to doing the testing and certification if there were any significant changes in the PCM from 2009 to 2010.

Their programmer supports a lot of vehicles and I don't know if the one for the JK is one of their top sellers. Although their manual which is generic, specifically has a section for Jeep. That merits some respect!

Mike's feedback was important to us and it was taken down when he knocked on our RV and returned the product. Our intentions at the event were to get the product in people's hands and let them give it a go at the event. Our goal was not to sell sell sell. This was a brand building exercise. Mike, I apologize if you for any reason felt we did not care - we did and we do. Your feedback is very important to us and will be discussed further. I appreciate you coming over to let us tune your Jeep. We don’t get that kind of real-time feedback unless we are at events like this. We enjoyed getting a chance to let you try it and see what you think. Lots of people came by and talked with us about their experience and we got great feedback (including Mike's) from the event.

Lots of guys returned the product after they used it and said they enjoyed it. We are well aware that many dealers sell the programmers for less than we were at the event - and we encourage people to buy from our dealers as we, the factory, do not want to compete with them on pricing.

I can tell you that we do make an effort to listen to our customers - if we don’t then we can't move in a direction that meets expectations. If anyone has any comments, questions, or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I want to thank Mike and everyone else that came by to see us whether you did a demo run with product or not. It was nice meeting with the people out there.

Also, if anyone has a Flashpaq programmer - PM me your serial number and shipping address and I'll get out a cap, decal, and koozie.

Thanks.

PM Sent...The Superchips Flashpaq is an awesome product, very happy with it

Maybe it's just me; but, when I was given the option for the Offroad feature (while updating), and there were two options, with disable listed in the second one, I thought that meant that I would be disabling the TPMS system for offroad.

I ran the update again, and this time I selected the Offroad option, without the disable reference.

When I hooked the controller up to the JK, and went into Advanced, Tire Pressure, I did find the option to "disable" the TPMS system. I saved the setting and let the Jeep idle for a few minutes... No warning light.

I guess I was confused by the disable reference on the update screen because it didn't make much sense to be disabling the disabler feature. Go figure.

Unless I screwed something up, this may make it a little easier for those of you who like things expressed clearly:

To allow disabling of the TPMS system when the programmer is connected to the JK:

1. Run the update program for the programmer via the computer USB port.
2. Once the update is complete and the three options are listed (Data Acquisition, TPMS Offroad, and TPMS Offroad (disable)), select the Offroad option (the one without the disable reference). Agree to the terms. Unplug the programmer when prompted.
3. Plug the programmer into the JK data port.
4. Once the communication stops, find your way to Advanced Options, Tire Pressure, and then to the item which references disabling the TPMS system. (Turn the ignition on when prompted.) Work your way through the prompts, and then exit, saving your changes. (I use the left arrow key to move back through the menus.) Turn off the ignition. Unplug the programmer.

Next time I do this in the Jeep, I will write down the exact steps, and the exact wording of messages and prompts. Some of the ones above may be a little off; but, in the absence of a good manual, they should get you through the process.

Good Luck

i never get an option while trying to updating, how do i get to this point?

Jeff

I've had the SC a few months now and have settled into the 91 tune running 87 or 89 octane gas depending on how stingy I feel. It seems to run the same on either 87 or 89 and I go through 1.5 tanks per week so I've put some miles on both octanes.

At this point I don't have any complaints on the SC though it would be nice if they could find another 15hp.

can't remember the tunes off-hand, but i was never able to run the highest because i couldn't find that octane at any of our local pumps. the next one up from 87 didn't do much for me. i ran a few tankfulls, so maybe it wasn't the most thorough test, but there wasn't a noticable improvement.

Thanks for the PMs guys. First batch of SWAG is getting sent out this week.

I shot a note along to engineering to get an update/info on 2010 coverage for those that were asking. Will keep you all posted.

Also, for techical questions you can try 888.227.2447. I work on the event/marketing side of things so I'm happy to forward you messages to the right people in Sanford as well.

Thanks for all the feedback.
