Have you looked at the reversa bars? They can be used either as steps or rocker guards.

I got them same problem 4" lift w/ 37 and a lady that barely 5' tall grab handle and shockwork are working for her but I think she could use aditional help with a stirup that wraps around the bar

I purchased the Barz for the same reason. So far no issues with them. They are heavy and i have scratched the crap out of them. But so far, they are holding.

How about the power steps that fold down when you open the door and then fold out of the way when you close the door. I have these on my lifted truck and they work great. They sell them for the JK now and I think Quadratec has them.

So can you mount them in the up position as well without taking off the stock Rubicon rails?

You shouldn't have an issue turning the reversa bars up.
