I've got the 315/70/17 duratracks on my 2012 JKUR with 4.10s. No power issues but don't fool yourself into thinking these are 35" tires. They only measure 33.5" on the Jeep with a bit under 35psi.

Go with the 35's I put them on my '12 2 door and i actually wish I'd gone bigger. Of course my lift netted me 5.5"s and the 35's don't look nearly as big as they used too. Go big my man.

That's another good point, which really helps move me towards the 315's in my case since the Duratracs usually measure a little small.

Damn, you must have gone with a monster lift to net 5.5"! I bet those 35's do look small under there, especially if you fenders are chopped. Sounds like you need 37's!

Which brings me to another good question. With my TF Leveling Kit if I go with the 315's am I going to rub all the time until I trim the fenders and throw a lift kit on, or not? Should I sell my leveling kit and go ahead and order a TF 2.5" coil or roll with the leveling kit and keep the articulation to a happy medium?

i just replaced my spring spacers with the JKS 2.5inch coil springs and all my advice is, " Go with the coil springs! "

believe me, and others with tell you this too and do it right the first time! i could off saved myself 200+ plus bucks and 4+ hours of putting in the spacers. as for 33s, they're a good sized tire, and a good medium between on/off road performance. i just replaced my spacers and my new springs gave me about another inch of lift over my 1.75inch spacers, so for me 35s are looking tempting. again.....do it right the first time! now I'm trying to wheel and deal a good trade in price on my almost new 33 duratracs for 35s.

Ouch. Yeah, it's definitely not fun to do things twice. I've been eyeing the JKS 2.0 "standard package" coil kit, and it's pretty tempting. I had the TF 2.5" coil kit on my '09 Rubi, and to be honest, while I liked the quality of the kit, I really never did care for the ride. I love the ride on my new '13, so I'm a little scared to lose that, but the JKS says it has progressive springs, so maybe that will be a nice alternative. On the other hand, if I could run my leveling kit and keep my factory springs & ride, while still fitting the 315's, that would be ideal, since the leveling kit is sittin in my garage.

If your even entertaining the thought, I say go 35's. I too initially thought I would be happy with a spacer lift and 33's.... 8 months later I'm on 35's with coilovers

Most of have been there, there is nothing wrong with the 285 it is not small just not big, it is a good all around tire no mods required, looks good on stock jeeps, I started with 285 but I went with a 4.5 backspacing on the wheels just to make sure of no rubbing issues, then I ran arcoss a deal to good to pass up on some 35 MT claws, I jumped on them, I had lots of worries about all the problems I had heard of, I had them mounted over 3 years ago and had no problems, I wheel it but dont abuse it as it is still a DD, I just put on a set of 35s km2 on , I told myself if I go back to a 285 I can pick up a little better fuel milage and a bit of power, in the end I just like the way 35s for look and the way they act offroad, to me so worth it just to keep and run 35s so I dont have any regrets. Dont forget your jeep will grow up sometime so get the shoes that fit for the long run.

I have a 12 JK with 3.73's and have 35's. The only power change I really notice is shifting out of overdrive early on uphills, other than that, no power issues. Love the 35's!!
