Teraflex Big Brake kit
Simple, the rears are not out yet but are coming, no eta yet. Some years benefit better from the HD Master Cylinder. From our website: http://www.teraflex.biz/jk-big-brake-kit.html ****The Heavy Duty Master Cylinder Part# is 4303450 is required for JK model years 2007,2008 and 2011 applications. 2009 and 2010 models do not require the Heavy Duty Master Cylinder 4303450 but will benefit from its use. **** Slotted vs. solid, some like the looks of the slotted, some don't. Yes the slotted should cool down faster but can also go through pads faster.
I was looking at the steel braided brake lines to accompany the teraFlex kit. They come in 26" and 30".
If I was to purchase the 30" in anticipation of possibly lifting my jeep, would it be detrimental to have or use it on a stock ride height.

"The 2012-2014 came with a master cyl. equal to the upgrade we offer. So your good to go with the factory master cyl"
I went with the slotted rotors, but I'm still waiting for the stainless lines to do the install, so no comments on the package yet.
Have this kit, non-slotted and with the upgraded master cylinder. We are extremely happy with this upgrade. In fact, other than the shock upgrade, it is the only other upgrade that my wife has really noticed a difference in performance. So just that tells me it makes a big difference in stopping.
We are rolling 37" Toyo's.
Again, very happy with this product and highly recommend it.
To the OP, most of your braking force is done with the front brakes. When and if Teraflex comes out with a big rear brake kit, it will be on the short list of things to do.

I just ordered this kit the other day for my "new" '13, and was told by Teraflex that: "The 2012-2014 came with a master cyl. equal to the upgrade we offer. Any updates from anyone with this kit on a 2013 or 2014.
How does the pedal feel compared to stock. Can the stock master cylinder handle the kit as it has been said in an earlier. My fear with the kit is a softer pedal. I am assuming steel braided line would be an additional need.
I have also been reading about the big rotor kit they offer that operates with stock calipers. How does the breaking power of the big rotor upgrade vs the BBK compare.
Thoughts??
I also have been reading up on a road race big brake kit which works off of stock calipers and slotted rotors are an inch oversized. 699. Upgraded rear rotors stock size. All four 899.
Tera flex big rotor kit is about 300.
And then you have Wilwood for 1600 for 4 piston calipers and 14 inch rotors but I would imagine the pedal should be even softer than the Tera flex.
Hopefully those of you with experience can chime in.
Seems like teraFlex gives the most bang for the buck but how can it be so much cheaper than the competition.

Do I need to keep bleeding or is it a master cylinder? I thought the 2012 had the same master cylinder as the "upgrade" please advise.
I have a 2012 and installed the complete kit but the pedal is soft. If I "pump" them once they are great but if I don't they go almost to the floor. I have SS brake lines and when I do pump them once they feel great. Do I need to keep bleeding or is it a master cylinder? I thought the 2012 had the same master cylinder as the "upgrade" please advise.
