Exclamation TeraFlex FlexArm installation: HELP!!!!

I'm driving a 2007 2dr JK Sport (same as X in US). I have purchased a full flexarm kit from Teraflex, that are now being installed on my car at the local service station.

People from the service station advise to install the lower arms so that the rubber busings are attached to axle but not to the frame as it is recommended in the instructions and write-ups. Actually they have already bolted them on (the ones for the driver side went to the passenger side and vice versa)!

Could you please advise whether it is ok to install the lower arms that way? Whether it is safe to drive with the arms so installed? Whether the connections (bushings, etc.) and arms themselves will not be wearing out faster than they should?

I am in Russia, Moscow, and here the service stations do not have much experince in installing lift kits and arms on JKs.

Look forward to your comments!

Thanks in advance!

I believe the ends with the rubber bushings attach to the body and the other end that flexes (that is gold in color) attaches to the axle. That is how mine are installed. Maybe Teraflex will chime in here..

That is how the instructions says! But they have installed them with the rubber bushings to the axle!
Now they are waiting for me to make a decision whether to remount them or not!!!

Also hope to see Teraflex's comments here!

Take them off and turn them around. Sounds like they messed up and want you to ok the goof. Do what the instructions say or you're setting yourself up for failure. You may have noticed that all the arms have a bend in the design of the shaft and some of the gold ends are offset. If you put them in backwards or upside down then you'll be putting aditional stress on these components and things will start breaking.

Tell your mechanic to install them the correct way. That's not the way the arms were designed to run.

Thanks everybody for your feedback!
I have phoned to the service station and told them to remount the arms according to the instructions!

Next step is to take my JK to do the alignment and to set castor to 5.5!

I will post some pictures once everything is ready!

The amount of caster you want and the alignment depends on the amount of lift. Did you install teraflex springs as well? It would probably be easiest to have the shop re-install the arms the correct way as well at the correct lengths to set caster...if its not too late. Can't wait to see it
