Good job Falcon! Can't tell if you have the Tow Pkg or not but I do and also the HD susp. so mine sits even higher in back than most. I recently received my kit but won't be installing for another month or so but thinking I may put just the front spacers and try like that for awhile. Thanks again for the great pic's.

Looks just like my Rubicon! I put mine on last week. Took me about 2.5 hours with power tools and a test drive.

In my opinion it would help if Teraflex included a note about the extra stuff you should disconnect. I had to do the same. I also disconnected the wire retainer clip on the front diff for the locker as well just to be safe. I had to sit on the front brake rotors to get enough leverage to get the front springs back in on mine.
Oh yeah, I forgot, the front locker wiring clip needed to be disconnected to.

Looks like you wont get high centered as much at Bundy...well hopefully. Now get some 33's on there like my truck!

It was fun today installing that, you are forcing me to want a Jeep!

ordering this week! but i wanted to know if anyone had a write up. tried searching, but its 2 am. and im tired. eyes are not working as well as they should be.

i hear you guys had to disconnect somethings, and adjust some things to install. those are easy enough to remember (or write down).

but when i did my rear brakes a while back, having a write up saved me lots of time. i coulda done it with out the write up, but being the first time with brakes, i figured i'd have it there. maybe one of you two who did the leveling kit should make a write up and publish it on project jk?

cheers

Those are the best pictures of what the leveling kit does that I have seen anywhere. Thanks

We made a point of trying to hit the exact parking location and angle of the camera. Its not 100% perfect, but I agree with you. Falcon (Kevin) originally sent me links to pics on here of the kit and none really show the effects of the leveling kit like these ones do. Its a true A to B comparison IMO.

We even went as far to mark tire center lines in the snow and camera man positions in the snow...lol

Thanks! While the steering must have changed some due to the new angle of the drag link arm, I haven't been able to tell a difference and hence haven't made an adjustment. Off-center steering wheels really bug me, so I was ready to fine-tune it after installing the kit, but after driving on the road, I couldn't find a difference. Of course, its a easy fix if it was to change.

I installed my leveling kit a few weeks ago. In all it took me 40 minutes.

I did not remove the tires. this saves alot of time.

1. remove swaybar links front and rear.
2. un bolt bottom of shock absorbers from axle. front and rear
3. jack up one corner at a time with a large floor jack. when doing the rear and the frame gets above the tire, remove the 10mm bolt holding on the brake line to the frame. I have a really large floor jack this is the biggest thing that saved me so much a time. a high lift would also work here.

4.when the jeep is articulated (one corner at a time) with the jack the spring comes out of its pocket, slide spring out, slide spacer in, slide spring in Lower jack. this process is less than a minute each corner.

5. repeat on next corner.
6. re bolt shock absorbers to axle
7. bolt in new sway bar links and attach rear
8. test drive and center stearing wheel if needed.

Note: by not removing the tires the vehicle supports itself at all times I only needed to put a jack stand under the frame after I jacked up with the hydraulic jack. This saved alot of time. I was watching the breather lines and locker wires, but did not feel at any time that it was at a point that I needed to disconnect them, as I would stop then the spring came free from the frame. The rear was the hardest as I had to compress a coil just a smidge to get it in. I almost thought I needed to undo something else but I got it in with my hands a hammer to tap it in and a large screwdriver to pry it just into the retainer on top of the axle. Overall it is 8 easy steps and I did not use power tools as my compressor is not wired into my new garage yet. Overall I am very happy with the kit. for the money it gets the jeep to a better stance until I can afford a real lift and new tires.
