I will get some better pics in the light this weekend. I work like a dog, but should get home decently early on friday.

The factory pics you have show washers on the side bolts, the washers they included were lock washers and kinda looked funny so I did not put them on. The button head will not slip through.

I also do not have non skid tape like they show. hummm.

The main difference is that they look like running boards and funtion like sliders. They do not look like nerf bars. The curve is clean.

By the way, the TERAFLEX goes to the front, I think, like I said they shouldn't even have bothered with their directions. Basically they said support it. Mark it, drill it, follow sert tool directions, drill bottom holes, watch out for your carpet. The end. No torque for installing the serts, no caution, no what way teraflex goes (and I mean what end is the front). No clue where washers went. They should fire their technical writer even if he is free.

are they removable once you use the serts? Like if they got really scuffed and scratched up could you remove them with ease to repaint/recoat?

Nope, you would have 7 holes or threaded holes in the side of the jeep. Yes, you can remove them, but it would look bad.

BAD NEWS if you ordered them from 4wd.com

I got mine in today, they sent me Teraflex TJ sliders. I knew something was wrong when I saw a 55" box sitting on my porch. Sure enough, they had a JK 4dr part number sticker on the end of the box...right beside the one that said TJ Rock Sliders with a different part number.

Sooo, needless to say, they go check the remainder of their stock, and they are all mislabeled. There was one order in que for picking today, so they canceled that one so whoever ordered it wouldn't get the wrong part. If yours got shipped out yesterday or before that, you will be getting the wrong ones.

Back to the drawing board for now. I think I may just get some custom ones built by a local shop.

Hey nmjk,
Do you think your Teraflex sliders would support the weight of the JK with a high lift jack? And do you have any good pics of how they attach, both to the side and underneath?

I think they would hold the weight of the JK, but there really isn't a good place to catch an edge.

Don't worry about not having instructions they are not much help.

The whole getting tj sliders happened to me in March.

If you want instructions, read this thread from the beginning and you should be good.
