I'm more and more envious of these each time I look at them and realize what they do. That top piece is exactly where the water dribbles down until you open the door and unleash the waterfall.

This is exactly what I've been looking for the last couple years!!!!!!!!

Although my hard top has been in my basement since I bought the Jeep and only run with the soft top. If this stops the waterfall everytime you open the door this is amazing... No more ninja/superfastjumpinside maneuver needed.

Is this an issue for soft tops as well because I currently have a soft top and both my front doors leak. When I'm getting in and even while the doors are shut

I have an original Trektop (not NXT or whatever the letters are) and does the water fall all the time when I open the door in rain. Only leaks inside when I pressure wash though.

Maybe not exactly for your problem.

These fix the steady stream waterfall that runs off the "gutters" of the top. If your front end is lower than the rear and the drivers side is lower than the other side (common due to road camber) then the rain runs down the gutter. Opening the door sends a steady stream that can't be avoided getting in/out of the jeep.

For the water running off of the top when you're getting in/ out of your jeep, I've found it to be helpful in applying a waterproof spray to the top every few months. The water hits the top though it's been slicked with rain-x and has a better chance of not hanging around on the top waiting for you to open the door and soak yourself.

The issue I'm running into with doing this is the product I use. It's a camping tent spray that 'slightly' discolored my top but it makes the water slick right off. Aerospace 303 is supposed to do something similar and I'm sure Bestop makes a product to do the same, but at a price.

When he said they were a tight fit, it made me curious of what he meant exactly. I don't want them interfering with the top

They are a tight fit with the top of the door. They clear the door, but it lays over the gasket at the top of the door as it pushes on the bottom of the gutter. I don't know if I'll run into any issues when I put my hard top back on, but as they are now there are no problems with the soft top opening or closing.
