I find it appalling how so many lack morals in regards to the topic of buying ripped off products. It isn't the same product, and buying black market items isn't "business". This topic has been talked about to death in other threads. I'm done speaking to it. I'll just think less of people when I see their ripped off products on their rigs. That is all.

I would totally get the knock off, paying twic as much for a piece of plastic would eat at me. If MacBeJeepin says it is good quality and works well ill take his word for it.

I get people trying to save a buck and all... But this isn't something that's like 5k vs 2k. It's ~$200 difference. And to save that $200 you'll buy something made overseas, of a lesser quality plastic (not saying it's crap, just made from a cheaper plastic), from a company that's blatantly stealing a companies design?
It would be one thing if they came up with their own that looked similar, and sold it. Then I could care less if people buy it. But to actually be supportive of a company stealing someone else's design (and who's not making a single attempt to hide that fact) is appalling. I think you guys need to give your head a shake.

well considering im a SrA in the air force that makes a wopping 26000 a year i need to save where i can i like american as much as the next but making what i make and paying 500 a month for the jeep i love so much i need to make due where i can so thanks . some people strive to buy the expensive shit but cant so we do what we can. !!!!

Okay, so if I made my own snorkel, but it looked like AEV's would you still look down upon it because it looks like AEV's? If not then you're a hypocrite.
A tshirt is a tshirt (which many people make), a flascreen is a flascreen (many companies make these), and so on. Some are cheaper than others, and some are made that look just like other companies. Shoot, Apple rips stuff off of other companies (ie Android) all the time.
I'm not in any way shape or form saying don't support American made products. But I'm also not going to be gouged on things that I have control over purchasing

An AEV snorkel is a bit more particular than a T-Shirt or any other mass consumable product. Off Road is a niche market.

Guess what, apple took (takes) technology from another (other) company(s) and implemented it as their own. Guess what, if you own any products of apples, you're a hypocrite, and you support a company who does the same thing your telling me not to do. Do your research about it, it's true.

I work hard for my $, I pay bills, school loans, etc. I save my $ so that I can mod my jeep how I want to. So don't tell me that I should save my $.
