Both of my jeeps have Llumar Air 80 on the windshield. Very effective and you can't really tell its tinted. You'll never be hassled with it and it looks subtle but distinct. It's like you know the jeep looks different but can't tell why.

Wow, that sucks? Did you get any pics of the jeep with the tint on?

Days like this I am LOVING the tinted windshield. Driving 30 miles to and from work staring at the sun sucked before. I don't even wear sunglasses in the jeep. I don't even notice it at night other than the headlights from approaching cars aren't as bad...I really don't know why this isn't exactly legal. I see no downsides to it, I actually think it makes driving safer...BTW I have 55% with a 5% strip...nobody has even noticed till a coworker today.

I've had tint in the front windshield in a few vehicles and its great. Glare at night is really cut down from oncoming traffic. I tend to get headaches and nauseas from the lights whizzing by, brake lights in front of me, and street lights. Why I don't know. Nothing else with lights irritate or have the same effect. With the tint im fine. Mine have always been 35%. Yes it cuts down on visibility slightly, but I've always done aftermarket headlights. Its never been a problem to see. Some people don't like the fact that its a limiter on visibility and cuts down the output of your headlights from the drivers seat. Its not unsafe or harmful to others. If your interested, go for it. Its either going to be the worst $75 bucks you spend or one of those things you truly enjoy.

Instead of taking a chance with mods that not allowed in most states, why not ask local law enforcement and DMV if these type of mods are OK.

How many inches is your strip? Does it come below the rearview mirror mount?
