Wow thats terrible. That alone will have me looking for a new front axle in a hurry!

BTW, just got the alignment checked out. The ball joints on the pasenger side are busted. Good thing its only the one side but I know ill have to replace the other side at some point as well. $75 part.... $280 install, not good.

As I'm sure you've seen, the factory ball joints aren't great. If you're looking at doing a ProRock 44 in the near future, I'd recommend just going back to the factory ball joints but when you change over to the ProRock, go with our Dynatrac Ball Joints. A little research will show you that they are a very common addition and a mod that will most likely last the life of your rig.

Yeah, 4 Wheel Parts, where I get most my mods, told me that the '07 ball joints are sh*t anyways. I just wonder why the front right went first and the left seems to be in perfect shape. What do a pair of Dynatrac joints run?

Im not familiar at all with ball joint problems on the JK's so any advice would help. Its a big headache that its almost a $300 installation for each pair... I would do both now but it seems like money wasted untill the other side goes. Im more worried about bent C's than anything, Iv heard they are weak and prone to bending under less than stressed situations.

This is how we've handled bent 'C's and tubes. If you plan on using your Jeep and want to avoid further issues, the ProRock 44 is the answer. It's not cheap, but over the long haul it's a great investment.

I see the differnece, I just cant be putting that much cash into the rig at the moment (for NEW parts). If I can find a PR44 or a Rubi D44 for a good deal then im all over it. For the time being ill just have to replace the ball joints and hope the other side doesnt go.

I love how the trail rated emblem has so little meaning once you really start testing the rig .

Save the money and go with the PR44, thats what I am currently saving for. Bent my D30, you'll be able to drive on it for a little while without probably too many issues. Been driving on mine for a while now and its holding up (knock on wood). The sooner you can replace it the better. If you wanna cheap out I know theres a guy on the forum out in PHX selling a stock D30.

Don't hold your breath on a 'cheap' PR, but every once in a while there are some awesome deals on used rubi 44's. Just remember to do some welding before bolting it up.
