Tire Carrier Question
Does anyone have the Teraflex tire carrier or know anyone that has one and if they like them or ot and are durable with no raddle. im really interested a getting it and they have accessory mounts that I want as well at a better price. besides the obviously fact its easier to install.

+1 for the TF carrier and hinge. Have not heard a squeak, let alone a rattle out of it. Installed correctly, its about impossible to get it to rattle as your tire actually presses up on the hinge with the lugnuts.
As for needing the carrier, Id say it depends on your backspacing, tire and number combo, but generally, yes, get it.
I'm running 35s with 4.5 backspace on the wheels which is about typical. I was not able to clear my poison spyder rear bumper, but JUST cleared the stock one with a slight rub.
Other problem with not getting the adjustable carrier is that you may not be able to get the tire to be flush with the carrier depending on your tire width. This would result in the tire being able to vibrate and potentially cause some damage to the tailgate or stock carrier.
Lastly the stock carrier is arguably pretty weak. Read somewhere that it's rated for like 50lbs... The stock spare weighs more!
