Tire tread life help
Hey dudes, I'm trying to decide which all terrain tire I want to put on my 4" lift JKU. I kind of like the Nitto trail grapplers but also like the Toyo open county MTs. I want to buy something that will last. I don't wheel that often compared to some ( maybe hit the trails once a month for about an hour) This is my daily driver, so if you have any suggestions let me know. Mainly I just want a decent tread life. Let me know what you got and how long it's lasted. Thanks for the help!

Just put on 2 BFG Mud Terrain T/As new to go with the 2 unused spares I had from my Rubicon. P255/75/R17. Guess I made a bad decision because I only got over 100,000 miles/163,000 km out of the original ones and the tire guy couldn't figure out why I didn't want to leave them on for a while.
And for the doubters out there yah I admit I only drive on cotton balls

Are you looking for an all-terrain tire with a long treadwear warranty? Or a more aggressive trail/offroad tire? Or you know that an all terrain will fit your needs better, but you are trying to talk yourself into an aggressive looking tire?
Falken Wildpeak/RockyMountain are getting great reviews for all-terrains (50,000 mile warranty)
Goodyear Duratrac are getting great reviews for a more aggressive looking all-terrain.
And both of the more aggressive tires you listed are getting good reviews. For treadwear, the toyo probably has the edge.

I've got right around 30k miles on my 37x12.50-17 Trail Grapplers, with about 98% of that being highway miles. I do have some trail runs, etc. on them, but not very many. 2.5" RK lift and some other added weight from bumpers, tire carrier, etc. and I bet I have at least 15k miles left, if not more, on my tires. It was a daily driver for almost 18 months. It's now a driveway toy that I've put maybe 5k miles on over the last year. Highly recommend the Trail Grapplers. Good treadwear, pretty quiet on road for an M/T tire, but they are pretty heavy. My 37's weigh in at about 80 lbs/tire. But I'll definitely buy another set when the time comes.

Nittos are great tires an wear like iron I have 34k on mine an still prob go another 15-20 on them. Only thing I don't like it there not good in the snow. I had a lot of trouble getting up my driveway this morning and I only had about 2-3". Just no siping in the tire an it doesn't help there wide too. I'm running 35's on a 2dr with only a front steel bumper an always do 5tire rotation

Thanks to everyone's posts. I think I'm going o go with the open country AT2. 50,000 mile warranty and a decent aggressive tread for an all terrain. It should fit my needs. I travel a lot but occasionally hit the trails (nothing extreme).

I see you made up your mind; however, my BFG M/Ts have 40k miles and just rotated them at Duscount. Based on tread left, they have at least another 25k miles.
