cheapest prices are on tirerack.kom I got 4wheelpurts to price match my KM2 (315/75/16) from their 310 to TR's 252 a piece. My friend drove my Jeep with identical size tires to his toyos and he mentioned that it was smoother. KM2 have 8 ply sidewall while the toyo's have 10 ply. I do most of my driving in my Jeep that is why I got the 8 ply for a smoother ride.

We ran 37" toyo's on your JK until October. We have now switched both our JK and FJ over to KM2's. The KM2s (37" vs 37") are lighter than the Toyo's by almost 30lbs I think. We went with 38"x14.50/17 KM2 so the weight savings wasn't that drastic, but there still was some savings.

From the trails I've done with both tires I really haven't notices much differance. They both seamed to work well on dirt and rock as well as snowy trails. The tread of the KM2's seam to me to wrap around rock's better and to my suprise the KM2's handle well on-road and IMO are as quite as the Toyo MT.

For most people I think either tire is going to work great and kinda like Eddie said, its going to come down to loyalty and personal preferance, but as for me, I've become a big fan of the KM2's and it is definetly our tire of choice.

The one thing I'm most curious about that I haven't been able to give full test to is tire life. Our Toyo's had about 22K on them and still had about 3/4 tread left which to me was pretty impressive.

We've only put about 2k on the JK with the KM2's on but so far they still look new. In this case time will tell but in an off-road application I think the KM2's are definetly one of the best out there...

Has anyone ever purchased their toyos through koreraceshop.com? They are like $295 a tire for 37's.

I know a bunch of people running Toyo MT's that were getting 25k+ miles out of them. But my friends bro inlaw works for the largest tire dealer's here in the Northwest and was saying that the Toyo's were not lasting as long anymore. Not sure if it was a bad batch of rubber, compound change or what.

Its odd that the KM2 is the only new MT on the market that has zero siping. Get the Toyo's

i run 35 in hankooks and i have a friend running the km2s (35s) on a chevy 1500. i also have another friend running 35 toyos on his xterra. All trucks have about the same clearance but i have witnessed the huge difference between the toyos and km2s in the sticky red clay of georgia. admittedly we dont get to do much ice and snow but the toyos and hankooks grip and clean way better on muddy trails. if you want more traction on a full tire, i would definitely choose the toyos.

I'll be going on my first big ride with them this weekend as I just got them for Christmas but so far I love my KM2's. I did have them in about a foot of mud pulling my friends Tahoe out of a flooded field and they did great!!

Personally, I think Toyo's are *WAY* over priced. You can almost get competition grade tires for the cost of them (BFG Krawlers, Maxxis Creepy Crawlers, etc).

There are a lot of tires out there, I wouldnt limit yourself to just those two brands. Especially when some of the cheaper brands perform nearly the same.
