I've done a lot of research at this point and I'm impressed with all the positive feedback. The only thing holding me back is that the guard dogs only come in 285/65/18 and I want to keep my stock 18s. I don't want to regret not getting 35s but I'd probably be better off with 33s anyway.

Jonathan_JK, or anyone with actual experience with these,
What kind of impact did these tires have for fuel economy on your rig?
My JKU is my daily driver and while they look great I want to make sure that I'm not shooting myself in the foot with fuel economy loss and excess road noise if I get a set.

I am considering the 285/70/17 but what is the actual measured height of your tires as it sits? Also did you get a chance to weigh them or does anyone know what they tip the scales at?

My major concerns are long term reliability, significant fuel economy drops (cause i think they are heavier than competitors but no proof, and excessive road noise.

Thanks for your input.

Ive been running the same set of 315/70R17 for about 3 years. Maybe getting close on 4 years. Anyway, I run their old design. The new style Treadwright is a bead to bead retread. I have one as my spare. I cannot say enough about them. Ive probably got around 35-38k on them and they are still in pretty good condition. My JK is my DD and off road toy. Ive been noticing some slight chunking, but recently I have been doing some crawling on some sharp rocks. Love them and will be ordering a new set soon.
