Default Trektop NX HELPPP!!!

So I started to install my Trektop NX today and ran into some serious issues! I've gotten the safari top portion on. But the windows are too tight to get on. If I zip them they wont come close to fitting in the channels on the bottom. The side windows are about an inch from the zipper on the rear window. On top of that. When I close the sunrider, only the drivers side latch matches up.

Do I need to start all over? Am i missing some simple step or sequence?

It was 85 degrees today as well, so i thought everything would have warmed up!

Keep the top open while doing the rear

Start all the zippers 1-2 inches, then tuck them in along the bottom. After the edges are tucked, finish zipping.

Then, close the top. If it doesn't line up, loosen the brackets and slide them forward/back to align everything. When fully opened, the clamps for the top should just barely make it through the metal hoops on the windshield

X2, and if you can't get it all the way, get it as far as you can and park it in the sun for a few hours, you should be able to finish after it warms up and stretches out some. First time is the hardest. I can install completely in ten mins now

was just able to get the windows almost completely on. The rear is about 3/4s of the way zipped (i didn;t want to bust the seams) and the quarter windows wont tuck all the way into the door surrounds. Guess I'll just leave it over night like that.

or should I undo everything if it is going to get cool tonight?

I'm on mobile so I can't see where you are, but if its still light out, I'd try to finish up before the sun goes down. I started mine at 10am and came back at 1pm and was able to finish up no prob.

left it overnight to stretch. been sitting outside in 85 degree weather. and still not even close. The rear window is whats f'ing it up. I've gone around a just gotten the zippers started on the sides, maybe 2 teeth. The rear window will not even reach both side window zippers. Only one of them, leaving about a 1/2 inch between the other one. Then tucked into the door surrounds (which is a major stretch) and tucked into the rails. I can then zip the quarter windows about 3/4s the way, but the rear window just won't reach. Is there something else I need to do? Should I pull everything off and start again? Should I blast the heat inside the jeep???

AHhh the trek top wooos, I think I used every curse word ever written when I was installing mine. My dumbass installed it on a 60 degree day, only took 7 hours lol. So my advice to you is, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THEY COME IN THE BOX FOR A REASON. Wish someone told me that.

Ive said 4 letter words I didn't even know existed. I put the windows in in a different order and got everything zipped and put on. With the exception of the top 1/4th of one quarter panel at the door surround. Gonna let it sit in the driveway the rest of the day at 80 degrees and see if it will pop the rest of the way in.

Bestop is lucky this things looks good, otherwise I would be burning this sucker.

If the top does not close, do not force the latches, they can and will break if not at the correct angle for closure. They will hit against the plastic on the header and break. Ask me how I know.

What I did was undo the front latch, take off the springs and try again. If that doesn't work, which it didn't work for me, undo the latch, spring, and remove the rear bar. Then close the latches, which should go easy. Then re install the rear bar one side at a time.
This will be difficult. You will need help or an extra arm. You have I really pull back or push it with a 2x4 to get ye second side stretched back enough to push the bar back through the bracket. I also used a flat screw driver to kind of help it along like a shoe horn.
Once it's on, leave it for a day or two and then it will be stretched out. You can then easily open and close and put the springs on.
It's a tight fit, but after you get it on, you will be happy it's snug. Good luck. Reply if you want more clarification on my version of how to get it installed.
