I really wish that a vendor here would do this. It would me much better regulated and relative. They would certainly earn my business if they could tell me the true size of the tire I'm buying along with the weight.

When programming gear & tire size data for the Superchip speedo adjustment, I found that 35.75 brought me closest to GPS accuracy at 70 MPH.
Returning to stock settings, SC showed 30.75 as the Rubi tire size used in calculating.
Interesting: stock nominal 32 @ 30.75 & GY MT/R K nominal 37 @ 35.75.

this thread would be really useful, but there are just way too many variables to get accurate measurements. Shame tho because when I had Duratracs I felt like i got robbed because they seemed really small (measured smaller than manufacturer claimed) when I put them on, esp after taking them off and putting my mtr-k's on ( measured extremely close to manufacturer claim)

So I wrote Mickey Thompson , bfg, and Goodyear and asked about TRUE tire size and weight just for this reason. I am assuming this is with no vehicle weight.

Here is Bfg and Goodyear direct responses.

This is for a 35/12.5/17

Terrain T/AKM2, we do not have it in the All Terrain T/A KOP tires.
The weight of this tire is 66.24 Lbs and the overall diameter is 34.8".

37s

The overall diameter of the All-Terrain T/A KO in size 37X12.50R17 is 36.3 inches. The Mud Terrain T/A KM2 in the same size size is 36.8 inches.

The BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 in size 37x12.50R17 weighs 70.54 lbs and the All-Terrain T/A KO in the same size weighs 66.55 lbs.

Goodyear

DuraTrac = 315/70R17 overall diameter 34.4 weight 63.47lbs

Fierce Attitude MT = 35x size overall diameter 34.8 weight 62.86lbs
= 37x size Not available
= 265/70R17 overall diameter 31.7 weight 49.86
= 285/70R17 od 33.0 weight 53.9

Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar 35x size OD = 34.8 weight 65.49
37x size OD = 36.8 weight 75.05

If you have a matching spare, why not measure it instead of the ones on the ground. Then weight, etc. is not an issue.
Just a thought...
