I am hopefully getting my JK this weekend. Unlimited sport. Flame red. 2012. I will be installing Ruged Ridge wheels with nitto terra grapplers.

The question is, if I keep the jeep stock (without lift) what is the maximun allowed size and width for the wheels and tires without having problems with rubbing or other problems? I would like to have the maximun allowed width ( I like the look with the tires sticking out of the fenders a little bit).

Now, I would also consider a minimal lift (2 or 2.5 inches). If I do this, then what will me my allowed maximun size and width to achieve the look that I want?

I thank everybody in advance.

Juan
You could run a 33/12.5 with no lift and 35/12.5 with a 2.5 lift. Also you could get wheel spacers

To me that just sounds like you have some size insecurities? The size tire you buy is the size tire you buy. The fact you have 3k lbs of vehicle sitting on too of it is obviously going to push it down. Unless you want to buy concrete tires I'd suggest getting over the size being smaller when it's mounted. Wanting to know for clearance purposes is one thing, bothered cause it gets pushed down is another. Just my opinion.

My profile pic is stock 275/70R17 I know have 2.5 with 315/70R17 personally I think that's the right ratio. With the 315s you may need spacers.
Oh and I'd get 16s unless you ever plan on 37s then stick with a 17 rim

X2. If your that worried get a higher load range tire so you will have less loss of height on street and if your really concerned get h
Beadlocks so you can air down offroad..
