As far as I can tell this was the only area it hit anything on my 2011 JKUR. I probably could have just reversed the bolt but it was faster to just bust out the grinder and some spray paint, lol...
I would argue your statement of "faster". I have the bolt on mine facing forward (opposite as you) and it's just fine.

Since I welded up the trackbar and sector shaft braces it's been a bitch getting that bolt in and out. I have to thread it in and out the whole way, lol. Plus getting out the torque wrench and all it was just easier to grind it...

Does anyone have pics of their notched truss? If so could you post please. I just destroyed my 3.6 upper oil pan as well as the lower. I need advice asap. Other the the obvious its bump stops. But I'm also looking at getting 5"-6" cools and shocks and adding a 2" bump stop puck to the axle as well. Currently I have a 4-6" teraflex long arm front and rear with fox 2.0 shocks and 3.5" teraflex coils. Hope the shocks and coils will help along with bump stops. But 1st I'm going to upgrade the bump stops. Possibly notch that truss.

I know jcr makes a truss that is a little lower profile. Worth looking into.
