BigInBoca, would you mind checking the fit of yours where my second picture is?
Is there any play in your deck where the pins fit in? Or near the backseat?

If I shake the deck near the back seat it rattles like crazy right there.

It appears to me that the rubber busing around the pin should be thicker.
I've looked at it several times today and I think I can fix this by cementing a piece of rubber or carpet to the runner to stop the rattle.

Sure, I'll take a look at mine tomorrow because its raining here now.

Have you played with mounting the side assemblies more to the rear of the jeep? When I first mounted mine the tailgate barely closed, I moved it forwards just a tad but it still takes a bit of extra effort to close the tailgate over what it used to be before installing the decklid.

This adjustment procedure is outlined in the assembly directions. On mine keeping everything rearwards as much as possible also presses everything together nice and tight. I wanted a good weather seal at the rear cause it usually rains here every day from June through September so I didn't adjust the decklid very much forwards after assembly.

I have adjusted it.
It is not an adjustment issue.

If you look at photo number 2 in my post, you will see the pin the deck "rolls" on.
All four of my pins are loose in the track, but the two on the front are particularly loose. A fix might be as simple as wrapping the pins with electrical tape.

Then offhand I would say you are on the right track. My tray fits so tight in the sides that its a huge pita to slide in and out. The pins are very tight. It even mentioned in my directions that the pins would be tight but wear in over time. The first time I installed it I had to alternate banging left side/right side with the bottom of my fist to get it to slide home. And I haven't taken it out once since I put it in, mostly because I know its going to be real tough to slide it back and forth to remove it.

Thanks for explaining how yours fits.

It was tight when I first installed it.
I have only slid or lifted it a couple of times.
Mine slides fairly easily now.

The rattle started a couple of days after the install.

In photo 3 you can see that I am using a piece of corrugated cardboard box double over to take up the slack from the pins. I am able to slide the cardboard in the track without too much effort. I'd say I have 1/16"-1/8" of play at the front.

I do carry a roughly 30 lbs load on the deck daily for work, perhaps the constant load wore on the pin bushings.

No problem... and I wanted to add for the record that my decklid wasn't just a little tight getting it to slide into place. I wailed on it for a bit and it wouldn't go so I pulled it apart to see if I was going about it the right way. Once I confirmed that I was on the right track I pit it back on and wailed on it some more. It still didn't go so I had to finally get it into place by leaning all my weight into it and giving it a few hard lineman shoves from standing behind my jeep. So its been tight as all get out since day one, caused by the tight fit of those pins into their tracks.

Little update-

Installed the deck, easy. No issues at all, except this deck was made for factory sub and I don't have one, I am going to patch the hole.
****edit- I forgot, on the pass side the hinge bracket for the gate needed to be taken off before it would fit. I don't care because the hydraulic broke within the week I got it. I am not sure what model this one is for, but I guess not for my 2010!

It really makes my 10w7 sound better, there were not really any more rattles then I already had, but I had been keeping an eye on some fat mat on ebay and got a good deal on 25sq feet

Il post an update with video once I get it in

Make sure the pins are tight or the large "washer" will rattle. Also, the rubber bushing on mine looks more like vinyl drinking hose, should be able to take one to Home Depot and get a foot of hose to match or thicker, to use as replacement bushings.

Mine has begun to rattle. There is a short channel that two "pins" rides in on each side. The rubber on the pins is not quite big enough and the rear of the deck can move up and down causing an annoying rattle.

I jambed some cardboard in to stop the rattle until I can think of something else to fix this.

I just installed the security deck in my 2011 and am a bit concerned with the exposed bolts as well - if not from a storage and looks perspective, certainly from a security perspective. Do you guys know of any storage products or any kind of hackery short of custom welding, etc that we 2011 owners can do to make our security decks look more like the 2010 and older security decks (with the side storage trays)?

On a side note the install was extremely easy and the fit and finish is surprisingly good.

These might be a tight fit but could work enough from a vanity and hiding the bolts perspective:
