upgrade computer
I have a 2dr 6 speed with stock gears (3.21) runnin 36" Iroks and the Superchips is unbelievable. I see an extra 2-3 mpg on top of the performance it adds to the mix. I do have a CAI and exhaust though which might help my results. If I could keep my foot off the gas I would probably see better mpg results...
The hp numbers, I dioon't know have a feel for how accurate they are, but the torque numbers are assuredly there. I don't often twist my JK past 3500 rpms, but it does get a fair amount of additional hammer rolling out of the hole.
All the conventional things you can do don't really take hold that well as the PCM is looking for it's known values and makes what it deems as the appropriate responses. When the stock components aren't there and the desired responses aren't found it's left scratching it's head. Certainly the downside of drive by wire.
That said, the SC Flashpaq woke my upgrades and my JK up. I wasn't chasing things any more and found power right out of the box. Same with on my Dodge Ram, where I have different than stock heads and a cam. It works great and on both vehicle I can say it was the best performance enhancement I mad while far from the most expensive.
Are all you guys sayin "superchips is the way to go" running stock tires/suspension or otherwise? Auto or 6-speed? I have a 2dr, 6-speed, running stock 32s. What would I notice if I purchased this product?
I'm just trying to get some more in-depth responses. Rather than just yes/no whatever..

Well, I'm probably classified as an old dude as well.
