Default Using winch on stock bumber

I have found a few plates that could work on the stock bumper. Has anyone done this and are you happy with the results?

I know people have done this but for the price of a winch plate I would just buy a new bumper.

There have been a few guys that have, I've seen pics and they looked pretty nice. You'll have to do a search tho as I don't know where they are....

The rough country winch plate doesn't touch the bumper: bolted directly to the frame SOLID!

olympic 4x4 makes a plate that mounts directly to the frame without drilling or modifications to the frame horns at all...mounts down low too...it's what I have to mount a winch on my ride with stock bumper...that RC one looks really sweet, but damn pricey

Ok. I'm dumb. Why go the RC for $239 when you can get the same basic thing for $70? http://www.roughcountry.com/winch_mounts_jk.html Interested to see the Harbor Freight set up rom alaskabound.
