Get real!! These numbers requests are ridiculous in the application we are working with and for the minimal cost of the part. Just ridiculous!!

Send me $500 and will get you a dyno run and a video of the tech's laughing at my Jeep on the dyno.
Well Said.....

Here is a review on the Viper TB from a user on another forum. They tested fuel mileage. THIS IS NOT MY REVIEW - but I thought others would find it helpful.

"After first long trip I can report more objectively.

Trip was from Bryan, TX to Fredericksburg, TX going uphill most of the way. Temp 68degF. Normally when I make the trip to my sisters I average 17.6 to 18 mpg.

Trip includes passing through Bastrop, Austin, Dripping Springs traffic and lights, so it is not just a straight highway trip.

Today I got 19.4 mpg. I feel comfortable saying I got nearly 1.5 mpg better from adding the TB. The way home on Sunday will either confirm or debunk todays reading.

All along the way I could tell the throttle/Jeep was more responsive. I had more power as I could maintain speed on many hills that previously caused the tranny to downshift. On some I was even able to accelerate without downshifting.

Overall I am surprised that this simple add, to me, makes such a difference. After a few tanks of gas, I will use my flashpaq and see how the two work together"

Thanks for sharing this.

Personally, I am 1 who also likes to see numbers before I spend the money on something for more power. I certainly got a laugh out of the thought of a rock crawler on the dyno and everyone laughing about it. How true. I am also laughing at the fact so many people have dropped more money on a SC without dyno results but are so hesitant to drop less $$$ on this because there are no dyno sheets. Personally, I think I will just go ahead and pull the trigger on this before too long and see what happens.

Thanks for all the updates.

You can take a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a bull's ass, but wouldn't you rather take the butcher's word for it?

For your reference, but not that it demonstrates anything that the users don't already know.

No, you can't. You would be looking at tripitas. That is the problem with the internet. Some people claim to be SMEs about something and repeat it often enough that "everyone" repeats it as gospel when in fact is is all smoke and mirrors, snake oil.

Thanks for the charts. Where are those from?

The charts are from Superchips. They represent pretty much the same as advertised, although I'm not fond of looking for that single point where the biggest power gains over stock reside to make claims, that's the game though. I'll still take rubber to the road tests, although they seem to get a great deal more scrutiny than a dyno and a dyno chart can be very operator dependent and misleading.

As can each individual's opinion of any product. That's why some of us like seeing that kind of stuff. It is much more tangible and tends to be less biased than an opinion. Kind of like your charts for gear ratio/tire size, which btw are outstandingly helpful for everyone on here.

Thanks for the info.

Just installed this on my 10' unlimited today, took about 10 mins. Here is a pic of the comparison and after it was installed. Not sure on if it was worth it yet, i will post in a few days, i barely drove it after. Just drove a little to make sure there was no CEL or any issues, it ran smooth and felt a little snappier on the throttle, could be in my head.
