Default Viper Throttle Body Dyno Sheet

Lots of info out there on the pro's and con's of this upgrade but not one single dyno sheet, untill now.

Disclaimer: This is not my dyno of my truck, it was given to me by a fellow Jeeper. Dyno was done in Calgary AB roughly 3500/ft above sea level.

Red = Stock

Green = Stock + Viper TB

Blue = Stock + Viper TB + Exhaust (unknown)

Hmmm. I've been running with a viper throttle body for over a year, 20 thousand miles...no problems here. Mabe I'm a rare case though.

I have heard mixed. If someone figured out how to work out the bugs I'd be all for it. I imagine it would take some re-programming of the pcm. Maybe if someone played around with a programmer they could find compatable settings

I had one for a while and had one problem. The engine flaked out on a steep downhill.

I wonder if Hesco has a tune...they claim they have custom tunes for Predators available.

Yeah and I'm sure it has something to do with year/model as well. The only reason I got one initially was b/c I could get it at cost from one of my vendors and then bend the rules and return it....which I thought about since I couldnt tell any difference, but laziness settled and I left it on. Oh and I average a stellar 13 mpg's so the fuel savings definately arent there.

Honestly no, at least not that I could tell. This dyno sheet above surprised the hell out of me. It's real difficult to say though because I'm running 35's on 3.21's. So my jeeps a dog either way until I do a gear swap.

It seems like it would lean it out too much. I'd be curious if the jk used for the dyno test had any other mods or tuning done

No mods on the jeep besides what is listed and AFR's are also shown. Besides the random nature of the codes being thrown on some guys Jeeps. 21hp for 140.00 is still a great deal!
