Default wandering and clunk in front steering system

I have noticed my rig wandering more lately. I am also getting a slight knock which is not the jk clunk, but something else. My mechanic said the ball joints are fine but I'm not so sure. 85k on them. I don't trust them.

long shot but the tie rod end of my JK steering stabilizer worked it self loose causing it slide around when I was making slow tight turns causing a clunk sound. You might want to check that.

Check your draglink ends as well. One of those come loose and it can cause your symptoms.

Mine has started doing the same. Checked everything underneath and noticed the steering is leaking all down the pitman arm

Ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, steering box, relay rod (drag link) joints - plenty of possibilities.

But, the trackbar bolts are as likely as anything and easy to check for looseness.

I would check your sector shaft out of the steering box, as that makes a clunk sound when loose!

I have a clunk sound when i go over any type of hard bump. It sounds like its in the front right side of the JK. I had it at the dealership last year. They couldnt find anything wrong with it!! They had it for like a week!!!! Still nothing! I still hear it. For a person that doesnt have much expierence with being under the hood or under a car what should I look for? Is this something I can fix on my own??? Its getting frustrating! I just keep thinking that there has to be something wrong!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

Thanks for the advise. I have been doing searches and with so many possibilities all I was trying to determine is, is this something that I can fix on my own?
