I used the RockHard Evap relocation kit. I'm sure the Woods and the Kilby are fine too. Just relocate it; don't skid something that easy to move to where the damn factory should have put it in the first place.

I thought that moving the evaporator canister allowed you to relocate the muffler, which is required with the storage tub kit. No?

AFAIK you are correct. I moved my evap and my exhaust to allow me to enlarge the rear tub.

the tub is designed to work with the relocation kit, but you also need to move the exhaust. I used woods evap kit first, then his muffler kit. next comes the tub.

if you use woods muffler kit, i am pretty sure you have to move the evap first.

Eh, I went ahead and ordered the Rock Hard Skid for it. In fact, it's on the delivery truck headed to my house today!

if you are not concerned with waranty go to Woods he has awsome well thought out stuff. I have a unlimited lifetime warranty and often have to sacrafice on certain things to be careful not to void it. I just received my Rockhard evap skid in the mail y'day. This was a safe bet for me. Doubt I will rip this thing off it is a seriously beefy piece. Shop Northridge4x4.com and get free shipping if you spend 100.00. the skid was 99.00 so I also bought a CO2 tank boot for my DIYCO2 writeup that i did. Everything shipped free and came in 3-4 days. I wish I had more scratch for more shopping sprees at Northridge. Free shipping is a very big deal. A lot of time shipping can add 10-30% to the cost of an order. Thanks David keep the deals comming and we will keep business flowinng.

How does a dealership do this? Do they send out a letter that says, the revised warranty (excluding all electrical and fuel system claims) now applies to your Jeep? If so, how do they reconcile that with the provisions of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which provides very strict standards for the written warranty and warranty repair work? Specifically, if the radio fails, how do they justify not fixing it because you moved your evaporative cannister?

Or do they just refuse to perform particular work? It that is the case, perhaps the specifics of your friend's work not being performed is justified--perhaps they mucked something up and the dealer had every right to not perform the repair work. A good example (because this really happens on rare occasion): If the fuel cap light on their vehicle keeps coming on, it could very well be the fault of the modification. The dealer would have every right to refuse to perform, under warranty, work on the electrical and fuel system relative to effecting that repair.

Right now I'm leaning toward the Rock Hard Skid...Even though my dealer is cool as hell and his philosophy is "might as well fix it while they are paying for it"!! And I read part of the instructions on the Woods and man...I got kinda lost!

Sac, I've got the RH skid and it's 3 bolts off and put them back on. Takes a few minutes. I spent more time looking for the correct socket than the install. For the wheelin we do around here it's more than enough protection.
