If I wheeled in rocks all the time, I'd definately relocate, but as you can see sacdaddy and I are from south Louisiana, not many rocks bigger than gravel. But ,that RH skid leaves a good sized bump on gator heads.

Not just rocks around here, those downed trees are a pain in the butt as well.

Not trying to talk you out of your decision at all--it's your Jeep. But, if you lived nearby I'd offer to help you install it--it's really quite easy. I'll bet someone around your parts would be willing to pitch in, if you ask. But, go the skid route if that perks your putter. :-)

I wonder if that would work better than trapping them ...

there are other exhaust options that dont require moving the evap can. but moving it is so rediculously easy once you do it, you'll wonder why everyone including yourself was afraid to do it (I know i was, i wondered about it to, but its so easy and simple it seriously makes me wonder why Jeep didnt do it that way to begin with.)

you cant use the tub enlargement without moving the stock exhaust, because the space that was taken up by the muffler is where the tub fits in, so no, there isnt an option there. Tub & move exhaust, or dont.

I have the Kilby Relocation kit. Now the evap can is tucked above the axle and out of the way.

The only problem I had was removing one of the body bolts to slide a bracket in the cross member. But every thing else was easy.

My skid plate arrived today. Tomorrow I will install it. The reason I went this route is because there is room to mount and protect my onboard air system tank. I didn't want it in the cab, the two door has little room to spare. I felt that instslling it where the muffler is would leave it too vulnerable. This seemed like the best choice.
