Its a tracking device, so "The Man" always knows where you are!

The Square is the gauge compass and the rounded one attached to the dash is the GPS antenna for the MYGiG. The Sat radio antenna is above the soundbar bar on the passenger side.

Oh and just a note don't put your cell phone in the Daystar Tray the GPS will be messed up and the compass in the gauges will go nuts!

x2 on not setting your cell phone on there. You will likely have to recalibrate the compass

I found if you put your phone in the larger of the two indentations on the driver's side, you wont have any problems. Also, I HIGHLY recommend doing the daystar dash panel customization. Keeps your phone and other goodies from sliding out of the tray.

Default GPS tracking

So the airward device you found is a GPS tracking transmitter, the police can track you down where ever you are with it. Get rid of that shit, because it's in there for a reason which im sure you dont want to find out

Close!

It depends on the year of your JK.

The Sirius XM antenna has always been in that roll bar area. In earlier model JK's the other similar box mounted just above the radio is the GPS antenna if you had a Navigation radio. I think it was around 2011 JK models, they combined the GPS antenna and SAT antenna into a combined antenna where that combined antenna is now located in the same original SAT antenna location.

Doh! Zombie thread.

I'll join in the zombie thread instead of making a new one. My 08 has a weird empy harness/cluster under the panel that I have been wondering about. My stereo is a stock RES with no sat button options. Has uConnect buttons but of course that was not a feature available on wranglers at that time
