What lift not to get?
We use better bushings. Clevite mechanically bonded bushings pressed into a CNC machined housings. Better flex joints, the orignal johnny joints which use a large 1 1/4 lower shank size. And so much more, just call or email, and I will be happy to go over all the details.
Our complete jk bolt on lift kits.

I would like to start off my suggestion by stating that I am VERY new to the Jeep world. However, I have done nothing but read reviews, talk to other Jeep owners in my area, and do lots of research on the internet. Since I live in the Salt Lake Area, I have taken advantage of the ability to go directly to TeraFlex and talk to a number of people there, I also have a couple of friends who have worked there. With all of that said, I will agree with the second reply to this post and say that what lift you get has almost everything to do with what your intentions are for your Jeep. Also, you get what you pay for. It sounds to me like you are really going to put your Jeep to the test, so I would say that you should get a lift that will stand up to what you put it through. TeraFlex has put a lot of research into their products and since their MAIN focus is Jeeps, and just about (if not every) employee drives a Jeep, they know what they're doing. For myself, when my wallet can accomodate it, I will likely be getting a 3" long arm kit and I can guarantee that whatever TeraFlex suggests is what I will go with. HAPPY JEEPING!!!
I know Full Traction is not on your list of lifts to get but I recently put on a 4" ultimate lift and I am truly happy with it!
Before I bought my lift, I was like everyone, searching for feed back on each lift that was out there. Asking my self how big of tires do I want and how tall should I go. I was able to test drive a jk with FT lift on it and that sold me! It easily takes 35" tires and the flex is great! I was able to install the lift myself with the help of Eddie's (WOL) write-up and Chris at FT who was very helpful and available to answer all my questions! The coolest part was Chris from FT was at Shamrocked and took a look at my lift, he actually got under my jeep to inspect the lift and took it for a test drive! Plus I wanted to support and buy american made products! Good luck on ur search!

Thanks to all, please keep 'em coming. I do plan on calling Adam at Clayton, adding FT and Tera-flex (although pricey comparative) to the list and looking the other way on Pro-Comp and Skyjacker.
Anyone else...???
Thanks!

I have a 3" BDS on my 4dr JK Sahara and think its pretty sweet. The shop I use is a independent custom build shop that has no affiliation or allegence to any manufacturers but have the ability to sell almost any brand. I was gonna do a RE which they recommended as good but bankrupt. they also said for a kit, BDS is better than average as far as the quality of parts. Most shops push a particular brand or two because it carries the most profit for them. The guys I use refuse to do that and make most of their money on labor and service. They said at one point in time they could count on one hand the companies that made lift kits for Jeeps but now they couldn't tell me how many are out there along with lots of corporate shops to match.
All that being said, they would not sell me, RC, PC, and only liked some of the TF products despite their popularity.
The other thing to consider is, do you want a lift or a suspension?

Another thing to consider, if you can make it out to Moab during EJS you find both Full Traction and Teraflex there! Chris from FT will be there and I would assume Joe from teraflex would be there too! Both guys are great and always willing to answer questions!
We will be there as well, and will answer any and all questions you may have about our lifts.
Could be, but the post you replied to was about an RC Lift (Rough Country) and those guys are still around and have a very good product. I ran a 2.5" Coil/Shock lift for 2 years and really liked it.
I just installed the RC 3.5 lift....$499 shipped.
It's a very complete kit you get a lot for your money. I have about 350 miles on it so far and no complaints. It rides good, handles good even though there is more body roll in the higher speed turns. It's quiet and smooth. Pretty easy to install and see,s well built. I did have a few hardware issues with my kit, a couple of bolts that were packaged where too short, no big deal.
The LCR's that come with the kit seem very heavy duty as they are a few pounds heavier than the stock pieces. The track bar relocation brackets worked very well, axles are centered and drives like stock.
The extra travel is nice over the rough roads too.
I'd buy it again for the money. If I had a larger budget say $1500 I probably would have gone Rancho or Rubicon Express.
