What is your 35" full size spare mounting solution?
I ran overbudget on the lift and tires, now I'm trying to figure out the most effective means to mount my 35" spare.
I've looked at the MBRP spare tire re-locator along with the MBRP in-camber reinforcement kit I believe it's called with maybe the Daystarr bump stops.
I noticed a couple other companies have similar extender brackets also (Tera-Flex and Smittybilt come to mind)
I've also looked at the Or-Fab set-up as well but I'm looking at more cheddar than I'd like to part with for now.
Keep in mind I am overbudget and the family accountant is none to happy at the moment.

I ran the MBRP extension with my 35s for about a year until I could upgrade and didn't have any problems, but didn't want to keep it that way for long because of the extra weight and the distance off the rear door. Then I upgraded to the Or Fab tire/fuel carrier and couldn't be happier.
Purchased my JK new with Teraflex bumpers, the rear bumper also had their tire carrier. The carrier from day one seem like it was overtasked trying to carry a 35" tire, it rattled from the dealer and was the first thing I had them check. The more I wheeled off road, the more it rattled and squeaked, it became too much to listen to around town as well as on the trail. I saw the ORfab setup and their guarantee of no rattles, so I purchased it. Install was easy enough to do at home with a friend, but you need to commit to drilling on sheet metal, no going back! I think the design of any carrier that uses the bumper and a single point of connection/bearing surface is flawed from the start since the tire seems to flop back and forth under acceleration and braking. As soon as that carry is swung open from its latch, all the weight of the tire, jerry cans, hi lift, etc, just place too much stress on the single bearing point. ORFab, Offroad Evolution and other designs that tie into multiple points to hang the weight seem much more solid from an engineering standpoint. Now I hang 37" tire, two full 5 gal gas can and hi lift jack without a squeak or rattle to be heard.

I am using the daystar bumps and a wheel spacer on mine. I chose a wheel spacer because it doesnt move the tire up like the others. The bottom of my tire rests on the stock bumper, sides on the bump stops. It helps take the 'wiggle' out of the tire that does more damage than anything. Haven't had any signs of problems in about 9 months and hard wheelin
I would get an after market tire carrier with bumper. I ran my 35" spare on the gate for about 6 months, and now it closes kinda funny. Some people on the boards have had no problems mounting on the gate, while others have broke welds and bent things....

I upgrades to a MBRP bracket with 37s and it was fine for about a year. I got tired of the tire sticking out realy far from the tailgate. So I am running a rockhard rearbumper tire carrier! Works great!
I'm going with Rancho, the price is the lowest I've seen around and is supposed to be able to support a 37" tire, so a 35" should be no problem... plus it looks like it is lighter than most of the other tire carrier bumpers out there.
I just got the rancho....and for what it cost it does the job...but dont expect amazing fit and finish. I had to drill out the pin hole for the closing side and I had to use a BFH to get the carrier in. My only complaint is how far it sticks out....but my tailgate is thanking me daily.
