Default Wheel manufacturer says, "Not enough offset".... is that true?

Im looking at a wheel with the following specs:

Size: 17'' x 8''
Bolt Circle: 5 x 5.0''
Rear Spacing: 4-1/2''
Offset: 0mm

This is exactly the wheel spec I have read that many others are running.... what could possibly be wrong with the fitment of it?

I thought so too- interestingly enough, its American Racing that claimed this (two separate techs) the second of which admitted it would fit "but only with at least 2" of lift".

Survey SAYS?!???

Yeah.....thats BS. Its really the other way around. If you put on a lift you would need to add the wheels (or spacers) to get the needed backspacing to keep from rubbing, but strictly adding the wheels to a otherwise stock Jeep won't give you any issues at all.
