I would change them out now. You don't want play or you could stretch the factory lugs or damage the spacers.

What's the point to buy something if ur gonna replace it down the road save the money you would spend on spacers and buy new wheels with it then u don't need to worry if spacers are safe

I haven't and don't plan on replacing mine. They've been on for more than 2 years without problems.

Wheel spacers are as save as anything you add to your vehicle, if the are quality made (and hopefully in the US). The most important thing is that they are "hubcentric"! That places them dead-center on the hub.

They are as easy as taking a tire off. They bolt to your factory studs and then you bolt your tire to it. I have been running spidertrax 1 1/2 inch spacers for the last 30k miles with a 4 inch lift and 35 inch nittos. I have driven it all the way to colorado and back to SC with no problems. I think they are safe, and I wheel with them

The no BS answer is just this..... I have only ever seen one set of Spidertrax spacers fail on the entire 5 years plus on this forum. The guy also stated that his spacers were installed improperly. Besides that, I have never seen another instance of failure of Spidertrax spacers. I trusted them on my '07 and my '08 JK's and ran them for tens of thousands of miles with 33" and 35" tires. Any modification you make to the Jeep will alter it from factory specs, making it "not recommended" by the safety nazis.

But judging from the hundreds (and maybe thousands) of people who put the spacers on their Jeeps, there have been very low instances of failure. If there was a problem with them, they would be posted all over the forums. I can't speak for all brands, but I felt perfectly safe to transport me, my 3 kids and wife in the JK with Spidertrax spacers. The quality control of Spidertrax is probably higher than many of the OEM parts on the Jeep.
