Has nothing to do with the axle; the sector shaft is the main shaft in the steering gear box; the end of which attaches to the pitman arm, which attaches to the draglink, which attaches to the knuckle, and so on and so on... when you turn the wheel, its under stress from the forces from all the aforementioned. Add bigger tires, and that force is magnified. They can start developing side to side play from the stress, which then leads power steering fluid leaks, thus killing your steering box - or in some cases, the shaft itself can even break.

The sector shaft brace attaches to the frame, and the other end to the bottom of the sector shaft, which braces it to keep it from developing that side to side play.

Man I wish! Axles are way far away for me at this point. lockers, gears, truss, and C's are probably what I'll be looking into....

No real particular reason other than it looked like a stout setup when using both braces; that and I know sometimes there can be fitment issues with some of these braces and certain track bars, so it helped to remove that variable from the equation entirely.

I've had no issues with that setup, but then again, I'm also running hydro assist now, so its almost moot.
I'm digging this

Lol, that was a bit of humor based on one of the previous posts...

I have the synergy track bar and sector shaft combo. Money we'll spent, pretty simple install - took me about 1.5 hrs with hand tools.

I run 37" mud grapplers with atx slabs.

I meant to say track bar brace, but I do also have the synergy track bar as well. The only other one I considered was the JKS secret shaft brace, but decided against it for two reasons: you have to weld a part to the frame and I don't have a welder, and it didn't come with any track bar reinforcement. The factory track bar mounting point on the drivers side is pretty weak, you can almost make it move by just pulling and pushing on it.

I've heard a lot of good things about the synergy.

Unfortunately due to my frame brace, I'm unable to utilize a sector shaft brace. After twisting two sector shafts, I had to install a PSC Hydro system.
