why do BFG's run small?

x2 on this, I also measured mine off vehicle and they were spot on, but had to size down on superchips programmer to 34.25 to get exact MPH - it's just a 4,000 lb thing that sits on top of them .... also the inflate pressure will make some difference.

My 35''km2's measure 34 with the weight of the jeep on them at 25 psi. Suppose I could run 40 psi and gain a 1/2in.

Yeah, a lot of people don't realize that the size listed is unmounted. Some guys mount them on their vehicle and then measure the height while they are supporting a couple thousand pounds. Of course they will be much shorter then.

Yea my 37's measure 36". But the spare under no weight measures right at 37. Have mickey Thomson atz.

I'm running 35" KM2's and they're between 33-34". Does anyone know which 315/75/16 M/T would run closest to actual 35"?
